Chinese Language and Culture Exchange
The Chinese Language and Culture Exchange is a departmental club that aims to promote a greater understanding and use of the Chinese language and associated cultural elements through interaction in language and activities between domestic students and students from China.
International Club
The main goal of the International Club is to make everybody feel welcome, allow students to meet new friends, and expand their knowledge about surrounding areas. We gather once a week, and we also organize some exciting events for the weekend. The club organizes dinners, movie nights, and one longer trip for each semester. Because members are of such diverse backgrounds, everyday we learn something new about different cultures without having to attend a lecture. It is a fun way to broaden your horizons, and to meet new fun loving people everyday. Everybody is invited!

While Coastal Carolina University does not currently have any NAPA organizations, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is always looking for expansion opportunities that interest CCU students. Organizations for Asian Studies

Asian Studies [Minor]
The Asian Studies Minor is designed to augment your major field of study by equipping them with a wider perspective in Asian humanities, engaging you in explicit inter-Asian and Asian-non-Asian dialogues, and helping you acquire cross-cultural literacy. With courses in language, history, literature, art history, anthropology, geography, and politics, it aims to improve your competitiveness when pursuing advanced degrees or careers related to one or more Asian countries.
Pop Culture Landscapes in Japan [Study Abroad]
This faculty-led program offers a collaborative perspective on the unique popular culture of Japan through the experience of historical, spiritual, domestic, and fantastical landscapes in the cities of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Together, the group will become immersed in Japanese popular culture through animated films, manga, literature, and video games that display uniquely Japanese themes and cultural touchpoints.

Asian-American and Pacific Islander Affairs Division [South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs]
The Asian American and Pacific Islander Affairs Division examines and addresses socio-economic issues affecting the state's Asian American and Pacific Islander community. The division is vital in helping the Commission achieve its mission of providing constructive solutions and approaches to support the policy and socio-economic development of ethnic minority communities.

Stop AAPI Hate
The coalition tracks and responds to incidents of hate, violence, harassment, discrimination, shunning, and child bullying against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. Our mission is to advance equity, justice and power by dismantling systemic racism and building a multiracial movement to end anti-Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) hate. Our approach recognizes that in order to effectively address anti-Asian racism, we must work to end all forms of structural racism leveled at Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color.
National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA)
The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA), founded in 1996, is a coalition of 38 national Asian Pacific American organizations around the country. Based in Washington D.C., NCAPA serves to represent the interests of the greater Asian American (AA) and Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities and to provide a national voice for AA and NHPI issues.
