About the Virtual Reality Lab

The Virtual Reality Lab is located in Thompson Library, Room 115. It is equipped with a variety of Meta Quest headsets that can be tethered directly to PCs for more graphics-intensive applications, or the headsets may be used freestanding within several open areas within the space. Each headset is equipped with applications that supplement the academic curriculum, such as virtual dissection, molecular visualization, or immersive streaming video apps. Each VR experience can also be live-streamed to a large presentation monitor so that other people in the space can see what's happening within the virtual environment.

In addition to course-related use, the Virtual Reality Lab is open by appointment to students. faculty, and staff. We also offer special programming like Game Nights, as well as reservations for use by officially recognized student organizations. You can consult the Library Events and Activities Calendar to see upcoming programs throughout the academic year.
