Research Assistant Artificial Intelligence Tools

Scite.ai is a generative artificial intelligence platform for discovering and evaluating academic articles via Smart Citations. Smart Citations allow users to see how a publication has been cited by providing the context of the citation and a classification describing whether it provides supporting or contrasting evidence for the cited claim.

University Libraries has purchased institutional access to scite.ai's advanced assistant platform. To access the full range of services, complete the following steps:

• Log in to scite.ai through the University Libraries link.
• Set up an account using your Coastal Carolina University email address for full access. If you already have a scite.ai account, click Sign In. 
• After creating your account or logging in, click on the "Assistant" link in the top menu bar to access the advanced assistant platform. 

Note: You will need to make sure you sign in to scite each time you use it to maintain full access.
