Craft Nights in Kimbel's Makerspace: The popular past time is returning this semester and we are still in the Makerspace from 3:30-5 pm. These sessions are a great study break where you learn something new AND walk away with a cool creation all your own! February 15th will feature Chocolate Molds with a Vacuformer, followed by Embroidery on March 21st, and Paint a Pot on April 18th.
Open Mic Night hosted by Creative Writing Faculty: Join in the literary fun at BIC 234 for Open Mic Nights from 5-6 pm. This platform encourages students to share their work alongside off-campus authors, fostering a vibrant creative community on campus. Dates for these events include January 25th and March 28th.
January Events: The semester kicks off with a warm welcome on the first day of classes, January 8th, where coffee and hot chocolate will be available for students. Puzzlemania takes place on January 29th at BIC 234, offering a day of puzzling challenges.
February and March Events: February is all about feeling the love! In addition to our chocolate based Craft Night, we will also have some passive programs that will put you in the Valentine's spritit! We will be at Wellness Palooza on February 21st, promoting well-being. In March, keep an eye out for a very special week of programming around Spring Break!
April Events: April is National Poetry Month, and the library will have some activities to help you get creative. Research and Write on April 8th in Kimbel 219 provides a dedicated time for finishing up final projects with help from librarians and the writing center. We will celebrate National Library Week from April 7th-13th. You can also see us at "Countdown Don’t Meltdown" on April 10th, in collaboration with LiveWell, will offer stress-relief activities.
