Kimbel Library resources and services for faculty

Check-Out Library Books, Equipment, & More

Faculty can borrow items from the library collection as easily as students. Books, CDs, LPs, and DVDs as well as most models and board games can be borrowed for an entire semester before needing to be renewed online, over the phone, or in-person. Laptops, headphones, cameras, voice recorders, and similar equipment may be borrowed for three days although a longer lending period may be provided on a case-by-case basis. To borrow these items, simply present your valid CiNO ID at the Circulation Desk.

Request Materials for the Library Collection

Faculty can request the library purchase additional items for the collection including books, movies, periodicals, databases, and more. In fact, you even request a rush order with the Rush Cataloging Request Form at the drawback of increasing the cost of acquisition. Simply contact your program liaison or Acquisitions Specialist Lynn Loughran to make your request.

For full details on requesting additions to the library collection, review the official policy page for Faculty Materials Request.

Requesting Course Reserves in Leganto

To place items on reserve, you will need to install the Leganto tool in your Moodle course. Directions are available in print and in the video below.
