NHD Information and Guidelines

Learning Objectives

  • NHD students will utilize CCU resources that are unique to the university and specific to their projects.
  • NHD students will be able to access and save articles for future use.
  • NHD students will understand the differences of university libraries as compared to public and school libraries.

Considerations

Sessions will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays in October.

We have two classrooms generally available:

  • 1 classroom of 30 (TLIB 120)
  • 1 classroom of 26 (BICL 234)

It will impossible to accommodate groups that overflow these two rooms due to changes in the availability of library classrooms. Please keep visits under the combined classroom maximum. If you have a larger group and still want to visit the Library, you must be willing to break up your group into multiple dates.

A minimum of 1 chaperone per room should come on the trip.

Other considerations before you visit

Parking: Please contact Public Safety about bus parking. The Library does not have a dedicated parking lot.

Lunch: The Library has a Starbucks on the first floor, and the Lib Jackson Student Center is nearby and has the CINO Grille, Chick-fil-a, and a market. All campus dining options can be found on CampusDish. Please note that noon is a popular lunch time for CCU students, so many dining locations are crowded at this time.

  • 9am Welcome and Presentation
  • 10am Individual Research
  • 12pm Lunch or return to school
