All students visiting the University Libraries for National History Day should complete the below questions and bring the answers with them during their visit, either on a printed sheet or in a google document.
- What is your topic? Be specific and detailed: who, what, when, where, significant events, etc.
- Write down some search keywords and alternate keywords for your topic.
- What kinds of sources will you look for at the Library? Newspapers, manuscripts, books, interviews, etc.
- Look at the list of "Primary Source Databases in History" and "Newspaper Databases" and write the names of databases that may contain sources for your topic. Pay close attention to the time period each database covers.
