Depending on your discipline, these websites may help you get started in selecting a journal for your manuscript. For Elsevier Journal Finder and JANE, enter relevant keywords or, if you have one, an abstract, and the databases will suggest journals that publish articles related to your research. Open Policy Finder will explain copyright policies of different journals, so you can learn if and when your article can be published as open access.

Elsevier Journal Finder is a tool that uses a machine learning algorithm to recommend Elsevier journals that match the scope of your manuscript. Search by abstract, keywords, or journal title.
JANE: Journal/Author Name Estimator
JANE searches through all journals included in PubMed. Enter the title and/or abstract of your paper in the text box, and click on 'Find journals', 'Find authors' or 'Find Articles'. Jane will then compare your document to millions of documents in PubMed to find the best match.
