Study Rooms

University Libraries study rooms are for academic collaborative group study with a minimum of two CCU students utilizing a room at any given time.

Quiet areas are provided on the second floor of Bryan Information Commons.

Ongoing office hours or classes are not permitted in study rooms.

Individual students occupying a study room will be asked to vacate at the discretion of University Libraries staff in the event the room is needed by a minimum of two students needing study space.

Student organization meetings are not permitted in the library – please visit Coastal Connections to request meeting space for your group.
- Students are discouraged from leaving personal items unattended in study rooms. Items left unattended will be removed by University Libraries staff and turned over to Public Safety.
- Items cannot be left unattended in study rooms for, but not limited to, the following reasons:
- To reserve a study room for future use
- To reserve a study room while waiting for other group members to arrive
- To go to CINO Grille or any other food establishment
- To go outside for any reason
- To participate in any activity that will take longer than 5 minutes
- Leaving University Libraries owned materials and equipment unattended in study rooms may jeopardize the borrowing privileges of the student in the future.
- University Libraries staff is not responsible for items left in study rooms.
