To ensure compliance with the 2022 White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) memo’s public accessibility requirements, you will need to be certain that both your proposal and Data Management Plan follow the data sharing requirements outlined in your funding agency’s current Public Access Plan. You may find a listing of current plans for federal funding agencies on Science.gov.
University Libraries provides support for data management planning through the DMPTool. DMPTool is a service that helps researchers create data management plans. The tool contains multiple templates from a variety of funding agencies such as the NSF, NOAA, USGS, Sloan Foundation, and many others. Templates can be customized to align with college/department/researcher needs.

To create a plan choose, Create Plan and follow the prompts. If you have plans in the system, you can choose My Dashboard to view or edit existing plans. See the FAQ for further guidance.
